Internet Mind Reading. Freaky.

Unbelievable, I just tried it three times and it worked every time. Do you know how it was done Simo?

I actually worked out what was going on very quickly. Basically, focusing on only the one card, diverts your attention away from memorising what the other cards are exactly. You realise that the other cards are picture cards, but you don’t pay attention to their suit and whether they are jack, queen or king. As a consequence of this lack of attention, you don’t realise that when you arrive at the last page, not only is the card you focused on gone, but all the cards that were on the original page are replaced by other picture cards. So no matter which card you focused on in the first place on the original page, it is always not going to be there since none of the original cards are on that page. Get it?

Hello Breadman,
Yes, I too worked out quite quickly what was going on. This was not a result of my high intelligence however, but rather because I could not decide between concentrating on the Jack or the Queen of Hearts. When they were both gone on the final page, it was pretty easy to work out what had happened - though I had a bit of fun anyway.

Melissa, perhaps what seemed like indecision with regard to concentrating on a card was actually a subconscious intelligent skepticism!
